Number of the Day Freebie
This number of the day work page accompanies my math wall. Each of the boxes labeled 1-7 correspond to a pocket chart asking students to manipulate the number of the day in some way (round to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, write the number in expanded form, etc.). I place the page in a sheet protector and the kids work on this with a whiteboard marker.
**07-06-15** Update
I included three different styles along with some picture examples of the pocket chart this goes along with in my classroom. There is a new page that is better suited for younger students as well!
Take It To 20
I LOVE using this game in my classroom. This is a fun partner game where kids practice their number skills while racing to get to 20 points EXACTLY before their partner.
With younger kiddos, I have the students roll the two dice and add or subtract the numbers together before adding or subtracting to their overall score.
With older kiddos, I have the students roll the two dice and add, subtract, multiply, OR divide the numbers together before adding or subtracting to their overall score.
It makes a great game to learn as a class, to have as a math center, to use as a quick five minute transition activity, or even to use as an informal assessment in relation to number sense and reasoning skills.
Class Jobs Assignment List
Assigning class jobs just became so much easier! This product allows you to easily assign class jobs to each of your students. There are 26 class job titles already listed with 10 blanks to fill in your own jobs. Jobs range from attendance to banker, recycler to phone operator. Student numbers are listed at the bottom so you are able to easily cross off each student as you assign them a job, ensuring that each student receives a job!
I’ll be working on creating a class jobs bundle that will include this product. The bundle will also include classroom job applications, class numbers to print and label class jobs, class job titles, and class job descriptions! The link for the bundle will be posted here when it is ready 😉
