Welcome to Rooted Life Homeschooling — I’m SO glad you’re here!

I’m Becky—a coffee-loving, game-playing, Jesus-following mom who’s wildly passionate about helping kids fall in love with learning. In 2020, my family and I traded the palm trees and beaches of sunny Southern California for the cozy charm of Kansas, embracing a slower pace of life with room for our kids to run, explore, and grow deep roots—both in nature and in faith.

I’ve spent 15 incredible years teaching everything from preschool through 4th grade, including two unforgettable years teaching English to the sweetest 4- and 5-year-olds in Japan. I’ve always found so much joy in sparking curiosity and creativity in young learners—but after a decade and a half in the public school system, I felt God stirring something new in my heart. The classroom had shaped me—but it was time to step out and create something more personal, more flexible, and more faith-filled. I knew God was calling me to create something with Him that not only fit the needs of my family, but also the needs of so many other families too!

🌱 That dream became Rooted Life Academy—a homeschool enrichment program that just wrapped up its THIRD amazing year! It’s a joyful blend of hands-on learning, big questions, wild imaginations, and faith-based values. I still pinch myself that I get to teach in a setting that feels so alive, so full of purpose, and so in line with what I love most about education.

Over the years, my love for teaching has always gone hand in hand with my creative side. For over 13 years, I’ve been designing classroom resources to help other teachers save time and bring learning to life. Now, I’m merging that same passion and experience into creating fresh, engaging tools for homeschool families too—because I believe learning at home can be just as fun, intentional, and inspiring!

That’s the heart behind Rooted Life Homeschooling—a place where I get to combine everything I’ve learned as a teacher, mama, and resource creator to help YOU make learning joyful and meaningful, rooted in faith, whether you’re gathered around the kitchen table or exploring the world together.

☕ When I’m not teaching or designing, you’ll find me with my family – traveling, camping, playing board games, laughing with friends, and trying new things (usually with coffee in hand!). I also REALLY love gardening too! Life’s a beautiful mix of messy and magical, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
